PRISON MINISTRY

Reverend Dorothy H. Caldwell

AND DR. CLAYVEN HORTON

Foundation Scripture: Luke 4:18- The spirit of the Lord is upon me, because
be hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord

Objective: To present the good news of Jesus Christ, how he died, buried
and rose again so every person we reach, will have an opportunity to become partakers of the tree of life.
To help develop a growth in the physical, mentally, emotional and spirtural by teaching and preaching the word of Jesus Christ.

Focus:   we are called into the prison ministry to provide spiritual growth in
the inmates, through the strength given to us by Jesus Christ. Being justified, through Christ, and the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we are proclaiming the gospel to the prisoners.

Our Availability: When we accepted this awesome task in the prisons, we became obligated to God's purpose in us. As stated in Isaiah, which was hi the day of King Uzziah death. We hear Isaiah say, I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I send me. This we proclaim. We are here. Lord send us. Since 2001, I have been a volunteer with the prison system.

Conclusion: Being under the leadership of Pastor James A. Duncan, we thank you for
your blessing and support with our endeavor. May God be the glory, PEACE.
